Mayor-elect Peter Fox takes the Predator Party to the top of the political food chain

In a dramatic electoral upset, Predator party mayoral candidate Peter T. Fox brought down longtime incumbent Dalton A. "Dall" Sheep of the Prey party. Fox, a former vineyard attendant from the Evergreen Valley, had been trailing in the polls, but diligent nipping at Sheep's heels kept predictions of victory by either party at bay.
The Sheep campaign began with a promising start, and the genial "country gentleman" was expected to ease into an unprecedented third term. However the campaign began to lose direction soon after the abrupt departure of longtime advisor Bordeaux R. Collie.

Fox's close victory "by a whisker" had many distraught Sheep loyalists crying foul (with some crying fowl among them) and spurred calls for ballot recounts. But as they looked for direction and leadership, and the Predators digested their victory, the mayor-elect waxed philosophical, seeking unity.

"The time for political back-biting is at an end", he said.
